The Chandler Fluid Technology product line includes items pioneered by Ruska Instrument Corporation, formally the leading supplier of mercury-based PVT equipment. Ruska undertook a program to develop a mercury free system and automate the test process through computer control. These phase behaviour systems quickly became the most widely accepted analytical (PVT) systems worldwide. The study of the thermophysical properties of fluids (especially reservoir fluids) such as phase behaviour, density, viscosity, and classic PVT studies etc. has since expanded to include the broad range analysis of a wide range of chemicals and Chandler Engineering continues to develop products to meet the changing needs of the international oil industry.
